About the Author

 L. Ken Rogers is a medically retired Police Officer who served on the force for over 21 years.  His personal experience with depression and anxiety after involvement in shootings and other critical incidence was evident in the last 5 years of his career.

Through the observation of a fellow police officer, while attending a range officer school, it was suggested that Ken attend a seminar on post shooting trauma given by Dr. Wayne Hill Ph.D.

I did attend the seminar.  Afterward I spoke with Dr. Hill about involvement in shooting, depression and anxieties that I was experiencing.  Dr. Hill suggested we meet and discuss the issues further.

With the help of Dr. Hill, I realized that I was experiencing the subsequent stages of depression and emotional illness from the use of fatal/non-fatal force.

I knew that I was experiencing depression and anxiety.  I knew that others may also experience these same issues.  Knowing this, I wanted to heal and help others gain knowledge on the subject of P.T.S.D.

My research and personal experience were inspiration to write the book "POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER, A POLICE OFFICERS REPORT".
