Post Traumatic Stress Disorder A Police Officer's Report Cover

I have written a book about my personal experiences serving as a Police Officer and my involvement in the shooting of a barricaded gunman. The emotional issues which followed including suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder changed my life forever.  A situation like I faced are part of First Responder’s day to day existence. Even today with advances in medicine and therapy not everyone gets the help they need in time before it is too late.

My desire is that other First Responders understand that they are not alone in their feelings of isolation and depression. With help and knowledge they can survive a critical incidence and the possibility of developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

My book explains what I and many officers have gone through when faced with a critical life changing situation. From experiencing the lack of understanding and knowledge on the part of the cities, departments and organizations to the search for help that began my healing process, it is all here in the pages of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, A Police Officers Report.

I hope you find my story helpful and that it may encourage you to reach out for the help and support you need. If you are a family member of a first responder, I urge you to read my book as well. Sometimes you can see the signs that a loved one needs help before they do or before it’s too late.
